MADAGASCAR

A bust of President Ho Chi Minh was unveiled at Hồ Chí Minh Square in 2003.
Ho Chi Minh was in Madagascar in 1911 and Antananarivo has a major street named after him.

INDIA

A bust of President Ho Chi Minh was inaugurated on Chowringhee Road to mark the centenary of his birth on May 19, 1990.

JAPAN

A statue of President Ho Chi Minh was presented at Mimasaka City Museum of History and Folklore on November 21, 2017.

A monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh was inaugurated at the site of the Ho Chi Minh Memorial on June 11, 2014. A commemorative plaque dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh was unveiled in 1983 at the house on 9 Compoint Lane where he lived from July 1921 to March 1923. HUNGARY

A commemorative plaque and a statue of President Ho Chi Minh were placed at Antica Trattoria della Pesa Restaurant.
Ho Chi Minh worked at the restaurant and lived in an upstairs room.
Left: The plaque was installed on the centenary of his birth on May 19, 1990 and reads: “Ho Chi Minh frequented this place during his international missions in the 1930s in defence of the freedom of the peoples.”

RUSSIA

Ukrainian-born sculptor Vladimir Efimovich Tsigal (1917–2013) created a monument in honour of President Ho Chi Minh that was unveiled at Ho Chi Minh Square on May 18, 1990 to mark the centenary of his birth. The square was named after Ho Chi Minh soon after his passing in 1969.

UNITED KINGDOM

A commemorative plaque dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh was placed at New Zealand House in 2008. Ho Chi Minh lived in London and worked as a pastry chef at the Carlton Hotel in 1913. The hotel was destroyed by German air raids in 1940 during the Second World War and the site has become the office of the High Commission of New Zealand in London. Chilean President Salvador Allende (1908–1973) was the last foreign dignitary to meet with President Ho Chi Minh in May 1969 before Ho Chi Minh passed away four months later.
