Ukrainian-born sculptor Vladimir Efimovich Tsigal (1917–2013) created a monument in honour of President Ho Chi Minh that was unveiled at Ho Chi Minh Square on May 18, 1990 to mark the centenary of his birth. The square was named after Ho Chi Minh soon after his passing in 1969.

A commemorative plaque dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh was placed at New Zealand House in 2008. Ho Chi Minh lived in London and worked as a pastry chef at the Carlton Hotel in 1913.
